MASON CITY — Greyson Brandt had a special man in mind as he
guided his cardboard sled down the hill in East Park Saturday.
He was riding in memory of his grandfather, Gary Sadler, who
died of cancer last year.
“Grandpa” was inscribed on the side of the sled, which he tried
to make look like a Mustang, his grandfather’s favorite

The Spellbinders of Downingwood took home the silver cup Friday night at the Irvington Town Hall Theater after out-spelling rookie team the Reservoir Dogs on the word “skeuomorph.”
Champion spellers Madlyn Walton, Eva Mininberg and Karl Weber attributed their win to the composition of their team.
